Thanks for stopping by! Meet our crew! My name is Shannon Pace and I am originally from Jackson, Mississippi. We moved to McDowell in 2017 and have been serving in various ministries ever since. I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Liberty University and previously worked at Welch Elementary as the Communities in Schools Facilitator for 5 years. I have 4 children: Taylor Rae, Braxton, Maurice, and Greyson, and one grandchild. Our family is THE MOST important thing to us. Our goal is to create a safe, family-friendly space where everyone in McDowell feels welcome. Whether you’re looking for fun activities, community connection, or just a place to relax, we’ve got something for you. We can’t wait to see you at The Fortress!
Our building was once an indoor car showing space. When the roof caved in, the building was left vacant for many years. After the building’s roof and second floor was reconstructed by a local nonprofit, it was sold. The 12,000 square foot building currently houses three rooms to participate in the rage rooms or paint splatter and over three thousand square feet to host the airsoft, combat archery, and nerf battles.
